What I Do - Venture Building

I work across three areas - consulting, education, and venture building. They're not separate tracks. Each one informs the others, and together they're what makes the work useful.

Not sure which area is most relevant for you? Most engagements end up drawing on more than one. Feel free to reach out and we can figure out what makes sense.

Venture Building

I work directly with early-stage founders as a mentor, instructor, and advisor - helping them validate ideas, sharpen their business models, and prepare for growth. I've co-founded companies (I keep trying!), raised funding, and navigated the full early-stage journey myself. That experience is what makes the mentoring useful.

Through PIER71, 500 Startups, NTUitive, and my own programmes, I've worked with 200+ ventures across a large variety of industry domains and tech domains, and for both digital and deep tech.

My main focus is on the validation stage - helping founders test the right assumptions, quickly and cheaply, before committing significant resources.

Global & Local Accelerator Mentorship

Spent a year embedded with a Singaporean stem cell startup. The core focus was designing and establishing the umbilical cord collection process - which meant navigating hospital partnerships, negotiating agreements, training staff (nurses and admin staff) and putting the right procedures in place across multiple institutions. The kind of early-stage work that doesn't make it into pitch decks but determines whether the business actually functions.

Year-long engagement. 2 hospitals.
